HOW CAN A STONE CHANGE YOUR DESTINY?
Edgar is an odd young goblin from Goblinton, a small village at the foot of Shadow Mountain. Early one morning, Edgar discovers a glowing pearl-like stone inside a cave that causes him to see his world differently. Edgar's once drab, dull, and dismal world soon fills with new colors, sounds, smells, and sensations. Is this stone making him crazy, or is it somehow changing him? He soon confides in a classmate (goblins don't have friends) named Abby, who is also transformed by the stone.
Before getting a chance to share this amazing stone with others, the town of Goblinton is ransacked by the dreaded Blagoon, a massive, terrifying creature, who takes goblin children to an underground mining operation, where they are forced to work in mines. Edgar, Abby, and Slugtoes—another goblin (not friend)—follow the Blagoon to this underground domain and work together to hatch an escape plan for themselves and the rest of those captured in this underground prison.
