Caleb’s Non-Blogs

I love writing. I’ve been blessed with a creative, fun, and sometimes off-center imagination, presenting itself in various forms-writing (both prose and poetry), drawing, and even coding (the “day job”).

As I’ve mentioned throughout this site, I have written some books that can be purchased on Amazon or by contacting us directly. But some works aren’t “print-ready,” whether it’s because they aren’t polished, or long enough, or I just don’t want to put forth the effort of publishing them. Either way, I wanted to create an outlet for these bits of my brain. And here they are.

Angelic Assignment: An Advent Novella

A peek into a project I’m working on. I won’t be able to have the full saga released in time for Christmas this year, but perhaps I can by next season.

What would it be like if you could pull back the veil and see what was going on “behind the scenes” during pivotal points in the Bible? Not like this, I’m sure, but who knows what kind of takeaways you may glean from this novella about the mission of two angels who, without a doubt, played huge roles in the events leading up to the greatest moment in human history. I hope you enjoy reading what I have so far, as much as I have enjoyed writing it.

Merry Christmas!

Taco-bot: A Love Story

This story was suggested to me by a student in my kids’ ministry. I asked her to give me an idea of a story, and immediately she said, “Write a story about a robot that loves tacos but can’t eat them!” Here you go, Audrey.

Jack’s Wax vs. Mak’s Plaque

The first few chapters of a book I’m thinking of writing. If you enjoy it, leave a “Like” or a comment. Perhaps I’ll look into publishing it again.

One of my favorite books growing up was “Where the Sidewalk Ends” by Shel Silverstein. Perhaps it was because the poems were quick reads, which accommodated my attention span, or because the verse was witty, or maybe it was the fun illustrations that accompanied it. Regardless, I fell in love with poetry and even dabbled in it throughout my life, and have posted a few of them here. Enjoy!
